The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 22 SEER2 2 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System – 9K + 18K comes with pre-charged Quick Connect line sets containing eco-friendly R-454B refrigerant. These allow for DIY installation without needing an HVAC technician. Follow the step-by-step video guide or use the included instructions to set it up yourself.
This unit cools in the summer, heats in the winter, and dehumidifies during the wet seasons. Each indoor unit features a digital display for room temperature and diagnostic codes, while the MRCOOL Smart Controller app allows full control from your smartphone. The system is also compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice commands.
The included air handlers provide customizable airflow to evenly distribute heating or cooling across each space. You can also activate manual operation with the emergency button under the front panel to test or troubleshoot. In auto mode, the system automatically adjusts based on your desired temperature, and it includes a dedicated drying function for moisture control.
Sleep Mode helps you conserve energy and stay comfortable overnight, adjusting temperature over an 8-hour window.

In case of a power outage, the unit will restart with your previous settings.
Maintenance is simple, with filter cleaning alerts and an easy-to-use troubleshooting code system. Indoor units can be wiped clean with a damp or dry cloth to keep them performing their best.

We’re excited to introduce our new 5th Generation MRCOOL® DIY® 48k BTU Multi-Zone Ductless Mini-Split Condenser, because it’s better than its predecessor in nearly every way. You won’t need the services of an HVAC professional when you’re setting this unit up, because you can do it yourself, which saves lots of time and money! This condenser enables you to heat and cool up to 6 separate spaces equalling up to 2,000 sq. ft., meaning you’d be able to cover an entire home in the completely efficient comfort of a single DIY® system. You can install this system on your own because our innovative, patented pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets allow you to skip the lengthy and complicated process of evacuating and charging the system. These line sets are filled with R-454B refrigerant, a much more ecological and proficient upgrade from the previous refrigerant used in the last generation. This switch helps the system achieve impressive efficiency levels, like 21.8 SEER2 and an HSPF2-4 of 10. These line sets are sold separately. Once you install your system, you’ll be able to explore the variety of ways you can customize your comfort. For ultimate control, you can integrate system operations with the SmartHVAC app, available for Apple and Android phones, allowing you the ability to set schedules, manage modes of operation, monitor your systems all with the touch of a button. The app even enables you to set up integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, meaning you won’t have to move a finger to make your home more comfortable than ever.
