Chill Mini Splits is operated by Chill Ventures, LLC, doing business as Chill Mini Splits (“Chill,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information when you visit or shop at chillminisplits.com, create an account, contact us, use our sizing, system-building, rebate, product-assistant, chat, or other interactive tools, subscribe to email or text messages, apply for financing through a third party, submit a review, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with an individual or household. It does not include deidentified information or other information excluded from the definition under applicable law.

We may provide order and transaction information needed to offer or complete the financing option and may receive limited application, approval, funding, or payment-status information.
- Customer-service and project information, such as messages, questions, room measurements, ZIP code, equipment selections, installation details, electrical-panel or project photographs, freight claims, warranty requests, and other content you send us.
- Interactive-tool information, including information entered into calculators, system builders, rebate lookups, product assistants, chat, or similar tools.

When you use the Services, we, Shopify, and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and network information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, internet-service provider, cookie or device identifiers, and approximate location derived from an IP address.

- Cookie and similar-technology information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, and related technologies.
- Inferences or preferences derived from browsing, shopping, order, and interaction history, such as likely product interests.
Information from other sources
We may receive personal information from Shopify and its services; payment, financing, and lease-to-own providers; shipping carriers, warehouses, suppliers, manufacturers, and fulfillment partners; analytics, advertising, email, SMS, review, customer-support, and fraud-prevention providers; warranty, protection-plan, rebate, or authorized service providers; and other parties at your direction or with your consent.

Shopify collects and processes personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase through our store, including to provide ecommerce hosting, checkout, customer accounts, payments, security, fraud prevention, analytics, personalization, and other Shopify services.
Depending on the Shopify features enabled for our store, Shopify may process information based on your interactions with this store, other Shopify merchants, and Shopify to provide enhanced services such as improved shopping experiences, fraud protection, measurement, personalization, or advertising. Information may be processed by Shopify and other providers in countries other than the country where you live.
Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also manage certain Shopify information and advertising choices through Shopify's Privacy Portal.

We may disclose personal information to:
- Shopify, which hosts and supports our store and may process information as our service provider or for its own disclosed purposes;

- Financing and lease-to-own providers when you request or use their services;

- Technology and business-service providers, such as hosting, cloud storage, analytics, site-performance, information-technology, security, customer support, chat, product-assistant, reviews, email, SMS, document, tax, accounting, and professional-service providers;
- Advertising and marketing partners that help deliver, personalize, measure, or analyze advertisements and marketing campaigns;

- Parties to a business transaction, including actual or prospective buyers, investors, lenders, advisers, or other participants in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets; and
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
Some recipients process personal information on our behalf, while others, including certain Shopify services, payment providers, financing providers, and advertising partners, may process information for their own purposes under their own privacy notices.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We and our partners, including Shopify, use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, understand site use, improve performance, personalize content, prevent fraud, and measure or deliver marketing.
- Strictly necessary technologies support checkout, shopping carts, customer accounts, security, fraud prevention, and core site operation.
- Functional technologies remember selections or provide enhanced site features.
- Analytics technologies, including Google Analytics or technologies deployed through Google Tag Manager where enabled, help measure traffic, use, and performance.
- Advertising technologies help measure campaigns, create audiences, limit repetition, or show ads based on activity across sites or services.
You can configure your browser to reject or delete cookies, although some Services may not function properly. If we make a cookie-preferences control available, you can also use it to review or change the choices presented there.
Targeted advertising; sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information for money.
Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly. When advertising, analytics, Shopify Audiences, or other Shopify enhanced-service features are enabled, making identifiers, device information, browsing or shopping activity, commercial information, approximate location, and related inferences available to Shopify or advertising and analytics partners may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information or use for targeted advertising, even when no money is exchanged.
Depending on where you live, you may opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising by emailing support@chillminisplits.com with the subject “Privacy Opt-Out” or by calling (888) 231-8920.
We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because there is no uniform industry standard for them.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 for targeted advertising.
Email marketing
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails through the unsubscribe link in an email. Even after you unsubscribe from marketing, we may send non-promotional communications about an order, account, warranty, service request, security matter, or legal notice.
SMS messaging
If you opt in to SMS, we may collect your mobile number, consent record, message history, delivery information, and information you provide by text. We may use it to send messages described at the point of consent, such as order and delivery updates, account or service notifications, customer-care messages, fraud alerts, and marketing promotions.
We may disclose SMS information to messaging providers and telecommunications carriers only as needed to operate and support the program. SMS consent and mobile opt-in information will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency may vary, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further messages from that SMS program or HELP for assistance. See our Terms of Service for additional terms.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information;
- Request access to or a copy of personal information;

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will use information submitted for verification only to assess and respond to the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.
If applicable law gives you a right to appeal, reply to our decision or email us with the subject “Privacy Appeal” and explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Some requests may be denied or limited where an exception applies, including when information must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, warranty, transaction, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, including to maintain an account or customer relationship, fulfill transactions, provide support, administer warranties, comply with legal, tax, and accounting duties, prevent fraud, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and preserve appropriate business records.
Retention periods vary according to the type of information, the reason it was collected, the duration of our relationship, applicable legal requirements, limitation periods, and technical backup cycles. When information is no longer needed, we may delete or deidentify it, subject to lawful exceptions.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and notifying us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
