This system includes one 12,000 BTU air handler (500 sq ft) and one 18,000 BTU air handler (750 sq ft). As a heat pump system, it can reverse operation to provide heat during colder months. It comes backed by a 7-year compressor warranty (plus a limited lifetime compressor warranty) and a 5-year parts manufacturer warranty.

The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 22 SEER2 2 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System - 12K + 18K provides cooling in the summer, heating in the winter, and dehumidification year-round. You can view the temperature of each room on the easy-to-read digital display or through the MRCOOL Smart Controller mobile app. Each air handler's display also shows troubleshooting codes and alerts. Control each zone with the included remote or via the MRCOOL Smart Controller app for iOS or Android. You can even connect your unit to Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
Each MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone air handler allows directional airflow control to ensure even comfort throughout the room. You can also set the system to manual mode using the button beneath the front panel. This emergency operation mode allows for system testing after installation or for service tasks.
In auto mode, the unit adjusts heating and cooling output based on your desired temperature. There is also a drying mode for dehumidification while maintaining room comfort.
Use Sleep Mode overnight to reduce energy usage and lower utility costs. This mode operates in an 8-hour window once activated.

Use the timer to limit run times and reduce your energy bill. If refrigerant levels drop, the air handler will display an alert. You can mute the indoor units to turn off sound alerts and display lights, which is ideal for bedrooms or quiet areas. If power is lost, the system will automatically restart with previous settings once power returns.
Maintenance is simple with alerts and reminders. Troubleshooting codes display on each air handler, and the manual includes a full index of common codes. Filter cleaning reminders appear automatically, and units can be cleaned with a dry or damp cloth.

You won’t need the services of an HVAC professional when you’re setting this unit up, because you can do it yourself, which saves lots of time and money! This condenser enables you to heat and cool up to 6 separate spaces equalling up to 2,000 sq. ft., meaning you’d be able to cover an entire home in the completely efficient comfort of a single DIY® system. You can install this system on your own because our innovative, patented pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets allow you to skip the lengthy and complicated process of evacuating and charging the system. These line sets are filled with R-454B refrigerant, a much more ecological and proficient upgrade from the previous refrigerant used in the last generation. This switch helps the system achieve impressive efficiency levels, like 21.8 SEER2 and an HSPF2-4 of 10. These line sets are sold separately. Once you install your system, you’ll be able to explore the variety of ways you can customize your comfort. For ultimate control, you can integrate system operations with the SmartHVAC app, available for Apple and Android phones, allowing you the ability to set schedules, manage modes of operation, monitor your systems all with the touch of a button.
