It includes one 9,000 BTU air handler (ideal for spaces around 350 sq ft) and one 24,000 BTU air handler (serving up to 1,100 sq ft). Built as a heat pump system, it can also heat your space during colder seasons. The system is covered by a 7-year compressor warranty (with limited lifetime coverage) and a 5-year parts warranty.

No need to call an HVAC technician — just follow the included instructions or step-by-step video tutorials.
With powerful performance across seasons, this system cools in summer, heats in winter, and dehumidifies in humid months. Each indoor air handler displays temperature and diagnostic codes, while the MRCOOL Smart Controller app allows for control via smartphone. Each unit also works with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for convenient voice operation.
Adjustable airflow ensures comfort throughout the room. You can activate manual operation via the emergency button under the panel for testing or maintenance. Auto mode automatically adjusts output based on your temperature settings. A dehumidifying function is also available for moisture control.
Use Sleep Mode to optimize comfort and energy use overnight with an 8-hour auto-adjust cycle.
The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 22 SEER2 2 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System – 9K + 24K includes smart features like programmable timers and refrigerant alerts. If levels drop, a code will appear on the display. You can mute the system to turn off LED indicators and buzzer alerts, perfect for light sleepers. The unit also resumes operation with the same settings after a power outage.
Keep maintenance simple with filter cleaning reminders and code-based troubleshooting. Use a dry or damp cloth to wipe down the indoor units and keep them looking like new.

We’re excited to introduce our new 5th Generation MRCOOL® DIY® 48k BTU Multi-Zone Ductless Mini-Split Condenser, because it’s better than its predecessor in nearly every way. You won’t need the services of an HVAC professional when you’re setting this unit up, because you can do it yourself, which saves lots of time and money! This condenser enables you to heat and cool up to 6 separate spaces equalling up to 2,000 sq. ft., meaning you’d be able to cover an entire home in the completely efficient comfort of a single DIY® system. You can install this system on your own because our innovative, patented pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets allow you to skip the lengthy and complicated process of evacuating and charging the system. These line sets are filled with R-454B refrigerant, a much more ecological and proficient upgrade from the previous refrigerant used in the last generation. This switch helps the system achieve impressive efficiency levels, like 21.8 SEER2 and an HSPF2-4 of 10. These line sets are sold separately. Once you install your system, you’ll be able to explore the variety of ways you can customize your comfort. For ultimate control, you can integrate system operations with the SmartHVAC app, available for Apple and Android phones, allowing you the ability to set schedules, manage modes of operation, monitor your systems all with the touch of a button. The app even enables you to set up integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, meaning you won’t have to move a finger to make your home more comfortable than ever.
