This is our 6th purchase of 18K quick connect Perfect Aire mini split. Overall rating is a 5 star. Perfect Aire makes a well-designed, easy to install product, however I feel misled with my recent purchase. The Perfect Aire website lists the heating efficiency for this unit as an HSPF4 of 11.6. This number is important to me because I use my mini split for mostly heating here in Oregon. The HSPF4 scale is similar to the HSPF2 scale and is more accurate than the older HSPF scale because it takes into consideration real life use throughout the seasons. I was very disappointed to discover that my unit is actually rated at an HSPF2 of 8.6. That means this unit will cost me 35% more to run than I thought it would. For that, I'd rate it a 1 star. I have contacted Perfect Aire and they said they will let their website team know of the error. If you are looking for a unit for air conditioning, get this one. It's great! If you need a mini split more for heating, I'd get a higher rated Perfect Aire or another brand, like Mr. Cool, even if it costs more up front. You'll save lots of money on operating costs in the long run.

My delivery was incomplete as the disconnect boxes and wire whips were not delivered. I ended up getting them from a local Home Depot. Also the condensate drain hoses for all 3 units were only 6’ long. I had to order extension hoses separately. The units themselves are working great so far and I’m pleased with how quiet they are.

The ordering process wasn’t as easy as it could have been, someone dropped the ball! I’m still waiting for a response to my last email. I don’t need the auxiliary heat kit and would like to return it. The package has not been opened. I will say that it was easier to complete my order once I was able to talk with a real person. The system is working great and I don’t anticipate any issues with the system in the winter months. Chill delivered as they said they would and wouldn’t have any problems with ordering from them in the future.

I purchased 12K 4th gen unit to install in my garage. My son did the work and I planned and paid for it. Planning and placement is key. Follow the instructions very closely. Check all fittings at least twice. It worked at first start.
Wow it’s awesome easy to install with a pair of extra hands. Cools great 3 car garage in south Florida with doors facing west don’t think twice go for it I found the best price at Costco on line.
In general I am very impressed with the equipment and ease of installation.
It is very quiet and efficient while running. Only thing negative I can say is that the filters are very expensive for what they are.. Minor problems that I experienced: The interconnecting cable terminals were not labeled. One of the freon line caps on the pre-charged lines came off in shipment or wasn't installed ?? Only received one of the small air freshener filters.
All in all I'm impressed so far withe the equipment. I planned the installation so there wasn't any excess lines or cable. I had the 16' line set

Arrived on time and in great condition
I just received my mini split last week. I'm currently in the process of installing. Everything I got was in good condition but I am missing pieces I've tried to call multiple times no one answers or return to my call. The amount of money I'm spending the service could be much better!
I purchased this to cover a line set of a 12K Mr Cool system. It looks great! Fits very good and relatively easy to install.
I installed a 12K system and used the Mr Cool mounting bracket. We made it work. What i found wrong was the instructions referred to US standard stud spacing. The bracket has no holes with that spacing. So you have to innovate to your situation. Good luck!

Everything with my order went very well... except the line sets. I was told the 3 line sets would ship from another location which was fine, but I was only delivered 1 of the 3 lines sets required. I immediately emailed to make you aware of this situation, but was told not to worry that they would probably show up in a few days. 3 days later when they hadn't arrived yet, I emailed again with no response. At the time of this review, it has been over a week since the original email notification that the line sets still hadn't arrived. Since that time I have tried 3 additional times via email to obtain assistance... with no response.
It's exceptionally quiet and works great at a fair price. Lots of work to install, but I managed. Recommended.
