Product overview
ACiQ 3 Ton (36,000 BTU) 16.1 SEER2 High Efficiency Central Heat Pump | Inverter – R454B & 3 Ton (36,000 BTU) Central Ducted Air Handler – R454B
Overview
The ACiQ 3 Ton Heat Pump System pairs the robust ACIQ-36-EHPD inverter condenser with the versatile ACIQ-36-AHD multi-positional air handler to deliver precise, efficient heating and cooling through your existing ductwork. Variable-speed inverter technology lets the compressor modulate its output between 12,000 and 36,000 BTU to exactly match demand—eliminating short-cycling and cutting energy waste.
On first startup, the “learning condenser” enters sensor-driven mode to collect indoor/outdoor temperatures, duct pressures, and refrigerant data, then optimizes future operation for maximum efficiency. Rated for −13 °F to 122 °F in cooling and down to 5 °F in heating, it maintains quiet, reliable comfort even in extreme climates.
Backed by a 12-year compressor warranty and 7-year parts coverage (online registration required), this whisper-quiet system (63 dBA outdoor, up to 48 dBA indoor) integrates with any 24 V thermostat and can be installed upflow, downflow, or horizontally.
How is it different from a traditional heat pump?
- Variable BTU inverter: automatically adjusts output from 12,000–36,000 BTU
- Smart soft-start: reduces inrush current and energy waste
- Heating-sized design: size for heat without short-cycling in cooling mode
- Cold-climate rating: efficient heating down to 5 °F outdoor
