The MRCOOL DIY Multi-Zone 48,000 BTU 22 SEER2 2 Zone Ductless Heat Pump Split System – 12K + 24K is designed for seamless installation using pre-charged Quick Connect lines filled with R-454B refrigerant, meeting new EPA regulations while maintaining top performance. This eliminates the need for refrigerant charging or vacuuming. Step-by-step video guides are available to walk you through the process.
This ductless mini-split system heats, cools, and dehumidifies efficiently. The included remotes and the MRCOOL Smart Controller app (iOS & Android) provide flexible control from anywhere. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Each indoor unit delivers directional airflow for consistent comfort across your spaces. If needed, a manual operation mode is accessible by lifting the front panel of each handler, ideal for post-install testing or emergencies.
In auto mode, the system adjusts output to reach your desired temperature quickly and efficiently. The dry mode maintains comfort while reducing humidity levels.
Sleep mode conserves energy overnight by slowly adjusting temperature over an 8-hour cycle, reducing utility costs without sacrificing comfort.

We’re excited to introduce our new 5th Generation MRCOOL® DIY® 48k BTU Multi-Zone Ductless Mini-Split Condenser, because it’s better than its predecessor in nearly every way. You won’t need the services of an HVAC professional when you’re setting this unit up, because you can do it yourself, which saves lots of time and money! This condenser enables you to heat and cool up to 6 separate spaces equalling up to 2,000 sq. ft., meaning you’d be able to cover an entire home in the completely efficient comfort of a single DIY® system. You can install this system on your own because our innovative, patented pre-charged Quick Connect® line sets allow you to skip the lengthy and complicated process of evacuating and charging the system. These line sets are filled with R-454B refrigerant, a much more ecological and proficient upgrade from the previous refrigerant used in the last generation. This switch helps the system achieve impressive efficiency levels, like 21.8 SEER2 and an HSPF2-4 of 10. These line sets are sold separately. Once you install your system, you’ll be able to explore the variety of ways you can customize your comfort. For ultimate control, you can integrate system operations with the SmartHVAC app, available for Apple and Android phones, allowing you the ability to set schedules, manage modes of operation, monitor your systems all with the touch of a button. The app even enables you to set up integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, meaning you won’t have to move a finger to make your home more comfortable than ever.
